Website Design on a Tight Budget

Good morning, friends!
If you've visited my website or blog before, you may have noticed that things have changed quite a bit.

The increase in prices of everything has me searching for ways to tighten my budget.

As an artist, the main areas money is spent on are website fees, art supplies, and software and hardware.

My website, which wasn't user-friendly (past being a link catchall), was the first area I tackled. If you are reading this, you might think that something feels vaguely familiar here. And if you are a blogger from way back, you are right!

What you are seeing as my new website is actually a Blogger blog that has been recoded to use as a website. It took me some time, but by learning a bit of HTML and CSS coding, I feel this webspace suits my personality perfectly!

I've also freshened up my logo (being used as this website header) and it's all like a breath of fresh air!

Possible New Venture?

I was a bit surprised to learn along the way that I truly LOVE learning the tips and tricks to create something from the ground up in the Blogger platform.

It's very much like creating artwork - starting with basic supplies, applying learned techniques, and creating something beautiful and useful!

From time to time, I'll be sharing blog posts that just might inspire YOU to give Blogger a second look for a possible website.

The best part? Blogger is a FREE platform. The only fees associated with it might be a custom template design, web graphics, or a domain name. But if you already have a domain name and the time to learn a bit of coding, this is a SUPER inexpensive way to create an OOAK website that matches the exact feel you are after!

This leads me to the next topic -

Custom Web Graphics

In April 2023, I will be reopening the Etsy shop with hand-painted watercolor graphics for do-it-yourselfers as well as offering graphic design services for bloggers and small businesses.

It has been on my heart for quite a while now to create and offer graphics and design services geared toward the homesteading community, small business owners, homemaking influencers, and more.

Presently, I am working with a friend to help design and create her new blog space, so as we go along, I will be sure to share what she allows.

I hope that I've piqued your curiosity about the possibility of using Blogger as a free website AND about the upcoming designs for my Etsy shop.

Is there Something You'd Like for Me to Share?

If you are currently a Blogger user - or interested in learning more about the platform - let me know the questions you might have. I'm far from being an expert but I am happy to share what I have learned along the way!

Also - if you are in the market for hand-painted graphics, I'd love to hear what subjects you might be interested in. Please SHARE BELOW!

Well, friends, that's all I have for today.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

until next time....xoxo....

Jenn
